Gellideg event
9 June 2016
Thursday 9th June saw the Mary Gillham Archive Project join OPAL, Merthyr Tydfil Country Borough Council and the Gellideg Foundation to host a wildlife event in the fields alongside the Gellideg Estate in Merthyr.
Supported by a number of enthusiastic wildlife recorders the event boasted freshwater sampling, bug house making, sweep netting, seed bomb creating, wellie boot planting, marshmallow toasting, den building, bug hunting, bird watching and a BBQ!
Around 150 people came along and we managed to record around 80 different species during the event (list at the bottom)! Thanks to everyone who came to help out and the Gellideg Foundation for organising it!
