Mary and HRH

6 April 1982

On April 6th 1982, to mark the opening of the Glamorgan Nature Centre in Tondu, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visited and spent an hour looking around the centre and chatting with many of the guests. As reported in the newsletter of the Glamorgan Naturalists' Trust

"He unveiled our splendid plaque ... and received with evident pleasure a copy of Dr mary Gillham's 'Natural history of Gower' together with a locally crafted commemorative stoneware plate"
